With both of the Lawrence Brothers ruled out for the rest of the Supercross season, the 450SX class is currently without any full factory Honda machines.

It is a real shame but fingers crossed that could change soon and someone gets an opportunity of racing the full factory HRC Honda machinery.

Team manager, Lars Lindstrom provided an update to SupercrossLive – they are currently evaluating the situation but it does sound like they will sign someone up for the rest of the season…

“Hey guys, Lars here with Honda HRC Progressive. Unfortunately, Hunter and Jett are not going to be able to finish the Supercross season for us this year. We’ve had a lot of riders reaching out about possibly riding one of their bikes for the remainder of the season”

“Right now, we’re not really sure what we’re going to do. We don’t really have to put anybody on a 450cc for the end of the season, but we would like to if it works. And you know, there’s a lot of riders with contracts and other teams that we really want to be sensitive to, and we don’t want to disrupt what they have going on”.

“But at the same time, if the opportunity is good for them and good for us, then we would consider doing that. So right now, we have some ideas and we’re making plans. So definitely thinking about whoever and doing the best for them and best for us”.

“So hopefully here in a little bit, we’ll know and then we’ll announce it to everybody”.
