Jason Anderson releases statement on current situation – apologises

Jason Anderson has addressed ongoing issues after an arrest in December came to light. The Charges were subsequently dropped but Anderson has released a statement of apology and confirms he is stepping away from racing for the time being to concentrate on being a better father and husband.

Anderson, who was absent from Daytona due to on-going medical issues, has now released a statement saying: “”I want to speak directly about the recent situation. I take full responsibility for my actions, and I’m truly sorry for the hurt they’ve caused my wife, and family.

“We are asking for privacy right now as my focus needs to be on my family. I’m stepping away indefinitely to give them my full attention and to work on being the husband and father they deserve.”

The Pipes Motorsport team commented: “Pipes Motorsports Group announces that rider Jason Anderson will be stepping away from Supercross competition for an indefinite period to address personal, family, and ongoing medical matters. This decision was made jointly by Jason and his management team in coordination with the organization.

Pipes Motorsports Group respects Jason and his family’s privacy and fully supports his decision. No further statements will be made at this time.
