Interview: Noel Zanocz on signing with JM Honda for 2025

It was recently announced that Noel Zanocz, a very exciting prospect for the future has signed with the JM Honda team for 2025. The Hungarian who had a special season winning the 125cc Junior World Championship and the EMX125 series will be making the move up to the EMX250 championship next year for his rookie season.

We caught up with Zanocz to discuss the move and more…

On his options for the 2025 season and working with Jacky Martens…

I had two options for 2025 but KTM has money problems so I decided to go with JM Honda Racing. Yes, Jacky has worked with many talents in the past and he saw in me something that he can work with which is good.

On his base for the winter…

I will train at home with my dad and I will have a base in Italy over winter. After that I will then go to Lommel (to the teams base).

On testing the JM Honda and his first impressions of the bike…

I like the Japanese bikes, it is a much better felling than the Austrian bike. It is much easier to ride with them but power wise they are a little bit worse but the team is working hard. With the new rules they can be really competitive compared to to other brands.

On stepping up to the EMX250 class and if he was tempted to go straight up to the MX2 World Championship…

The EMX250 is not the class where I wanted to ride but the budget problem is a real problem everywhere at the moment. So, I had no other option to deal with. But I am looking forward to it and I will try to make something big in 2025.

On his plans to do any pre season races and if we’ll see him race selected MX2 GP’s in 2025…

I will train in Italy during the winter time and I want to do some race(s) before the EMX250 opening round in Spain. I still don’t know what races and what bike because maybe I’ll race with the 450cc. Yes, I would like to race some MX2 GP’s in 2025 but it depends on the budget and the results.
