Jonathan McCready caught up with British hero Max Anstie to talk about that contact from Deegan, what his A1 win means as a British rider and some MXGP chat!
On Deegan, Anstie said: “I said it a million times, that kids fast. I know who I’m racing against, I should have been better to be honest. (I’m thinking) about getting the old man back out here get on the case, he’s he’s been wanting to play, he’s been wanting to bump me around for years so I have to get him some gear on and and do some practicing!
“But no, I I expected… I know who I’m racing, I was aware of the situation. I just didn’t expect the final brake slide! I was like dude, you’re fast, I’m gonna take a second tonight you’re ripping!. I was just pulling up out the way and he slid. It was impressive, so it is what it is. I’m gonna be smarter and better in that situation next time.”
