Triumph Factory Racing’s Jalek Swoll will sit out the remainder of the 2025 Pro Motocross season and the upcoming SMX Playoffs after sustaining a torn calf muscle during qualifying at the Ironman National. Although the injury does not require surgery, rest is necessary, and when combined with a torn thumb ligament sustained earlier in the year, the decision was made for Jalek to focus on a full recovery in preparation for the 2026 season.

After recovering from an Achilles injury in the off-season, Swoll returned to Pro Motocross at round three and immediately impressed. Placing 10th at High Point and then 11th at Southwick marked a strong return for the Floridian, who then took his TF 250-X to a stunning second overall at the iconic RedBud National.

Jalek then claimed ninth overall at Spring Creek before crashing out at Washougal while leading the opening moto. At last weekend’s ninth round, the 25-year-old injured his calf during qualifying and put in a gritty ride to finish 10th in race one. Frustratingly, a collision with another rider in the second moto ruled him out of the running.

With little to gain by racing while injured, Triumph Factory Racing and Swoll have opted to shift focus to 2026. This approach will allow for complete rehabilitation and ensure optimal preparation for the season ahead.

Jalek Swoll – Triumph Factory Racing

“This isn’t the news that I wanted to be sharing, but at Ironman I tore my calf muscle without even crashing. I’ve also been riding injured since Southwick as I tore a ligament in my thumb there, and I’ve not been able to ride during the week. So, with this new injury, the team and I decided it’s best for me to sit out the remainder of the season. It’s not ideal of course, but my body has been through a lot over the last year or so. It was a collective effort with the whole team to get back to racing this summer after my Achilles injury, and once I was back, I showed some good speed. Getting on the podium at RedBud was huge for me and the team, and it’s unfortunate that my season has ended this way. Overall, though, I’m proud of what I’ve achieved this year despite not racing a lot, and I’m confident and super excited for the 2026 season.”

Jeremy Coker – General Manager, Triumph Racing America

“Jalek has unfortunately sustained a calf muscle injury. While the good part is that it doesn’t require surgery, it is unfortunately one of those things that just takes time. With that being said, the team and Jalek have decided it is best for him to sit out the rest of the year and focus on being 100% for the 2026 season. Jalek had just started to show his true potential, and I am absolutely gutted for him. I do know that he will put his best foot forward and come back even stronger in 2026.”
