Ice cold Jett Lawrence on potential Deegan rivalry – he’s not on my radar!

Jett Lawrence, fresh of an SMX title, gave an ice cold response about a potential rivalry with Haiden Deegan when asked about it in the press conference.

Lawrence who performed under pressure to catch and pass Eli Tomac late to clinch the 450 SMX title had also witnessed Deegan taking Jett’s teammate out in a final desperate move to win the 250 SMX title only for Deegan to end up injured with a broken collarbone!

Jett said dismissively of Deegan: “Honestly, he has got a lot of other people to worry about than me. I have to worry about Hunter, Chase and Eli, so honestly, he is not really on my radar. I am focusing on the guys I am racing right now, because they are riding really well. It’s a different league on the 450. It ain’t much of a rivalry if you keep beating the kid.”

Earlier, Shimoda revealed what Deegan has said to him before the race and the Japanese rider delivered a killer line of his own! Shimoda said: “He said, ‘you are never going to know what’s about to come.’ And I said, I don’t speak English!”

Mic drop.
