Deegan on “altercation” with Kitchen

Haiden Deegan has said he had a “little altercation” in the second moto but said, “it is what it is,” when describing the culmination of a take out that leaves him second behind Jo Shimoda heading into the final round of SMX after dominating until Kitchen took him out on lap one of moto two at St. Louis.

Deegan said in the Yamaha press release: “It was an alright day. I won the first moto and got into a little altercation in the second one. It is what it is. It’s racing. We’ve got one round to go. Let’s see what we can do.”

Deegan looked fuming when he came off the bike with his mechanic trying to calm him down and Kitchen nowhere in sight, probably a good decision!
