Frustrated Hunter Lawrence wants more

Hunter Lawrence rode one of his best ever races on a 450 at Millville, winning the opening moto but in his battle with Jett in moto two for the overall win, he came up just short of victory with Jett doing enough to eek out the win yet again.

Such was the pace of the brothers they put 40 seconds on Chase Sexton in third, underlining just how well Hunter is riding but Jett always finds a way and has won every overall so far this season, and Hunter admits he is getting frustrated.

On his second overall Hunter said: “I’m just trying to go fast, it’s as simple as that, it’s not rocket science. I’m just trying to go faster to catch him. And yeah, I’m frustrated after, because I want to win, So everyone can almost probably imagine in their head what I’m thinking out there, because it’s not that crazy of a thought, it’s just exactly what it is.

Even HRC team manager, Lars Lindstrom acknowledged just how well Hunter is riding: “The 450 race was incredible to watch, and it reminded me of 2022, when the brothers went at it on 250s. Hunter went to another level today, and it’s one of the only times I’ve seen someone get the best of Jett; I’m super proud of him. In the second moto they put on an absolute clinic, and Hunter was giving Jett all he could handle—it was a blast to watch!

But yet again, no matter what is thrown at him, the genius that is Jett Lawrence always finds away to win, no-one can figure out how to beat for an overall yet, not even his increasingly frustrated brother, who knows all the secrets as is riding the best he ever has.
