Jett Lawrence went quickest but it was by less than one tenth of a second over Ruben Fernandez with Renaux just a tenth back in third and Mewse just a second off in fourth. Plessinger was ninth.
Lawrence wasn’t happy with the back end of his bike having several aborted laps with the bike kicking. His mechanic wrote smooth is fast on the pitboard, to try and get Jett to find his flow and dad Dazzy yelled legend in agreement with the advice.
Interestingly, MX2’s Lucas Coenen’s best lap was quicker than everyone in the open class and he did his fast lap at the end of the session just before the open class took to the track.
