Cole McCullough is loving the sandy conditions as he set the fastest time during free practice at Riola.
French talent, Mano Faure was fast as he set the second fastest time and was a only a second off the pace. His team mate, Dani Heitink was third fastest on his MJC Yamaha.
Nicolò Alvisi was fourth fastest edging out his team mate, Áron Katona who rounded out the top five.
Championship leader, Nicky Mannini was eighth fastest on his TM machine.
Czech talent, Vitezslav Marek is back on a 125cc this weekend and was tenth fastest.
