The SAS TPC KTM team has confirmed that Davy Pootjes will remain with the squad for the 2026 season after impressing on his return to competition. The Dutch rider was drafted in to contest the final rounds of the 2025 British Championship, and following encouraging performances, he has now agreed to race the full 2026 campaign in the MX2 class making a full return to racing.

After spending an extended period away from professional racing, Pootjes wasted little time showing flashes of his former speed and competitiveness in the closing rounds of this year’s series. His performances gave the team plenty of confidence that, with a full off-season to prepare, he can be a strong contender next year.

Davy Pootjes:

“I am happy to ride the entire British championship next year. I enjoyed the races I did with the SAS TPC KTM team and I love coming over to the UK. I am looking forward to having more hours on the bike coming winter alongside my coaching. Lets have some fun next year”.

Brett Smith (Assistant Team Manager)

“We are delighted Davy has signed for the team for his 2026 campaign in the UK. We will compete in the full official MXGB series and other ad hoc events, such as Hawkstone International and more. Davy’s performance at Lyng was exceptional after only an eight week programme. We can’t wait to see how the Dutchman will perform after a full winter training programme. We believe the Dutchman still has a point to prove”.

Jack Fleming (the team’s MX2 leading mechanic):

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to come onboard with the SAS TPC KTM Racing Team working with Davy. We are really excited to get the season underway and hopefully see Davy fight for the MX2 British title”.

Pootjes’ signing continues the team’s commitment to fielding a competitive MX2 line-up as they look to establish themselves as one of the leading forces in British motocross heading into 2026.
