After recently announcing that Davy Pootjes has signed with the SAS TPC KTM team to contest the 2026 MX2 British Championship, the team are pleased to confirm another rider addition ahead of the upcoming season.
Scottish talent, Ben Edwards has agreed a deal to join the SAS TPC KTM team and will compete in the MX1 British Championship for 2026. The 26 year old had some strong rides at the start of the 2025 season before an injury ended his season but after being a privateer he has still impressed enough to secure a ride with a team.
Now with a team behind him and good support, Edwards will hope to push on and achieve better results in 2026.
Ben Edwards:
“I can’t thank the SAS TPC KTM team enough for the opportunity next season. I am looking to have a solid winter and come out swinging in 2026 and achieve our goals as a team. It will be pretty cool to have Davy (Pootjes) as a team mate and hopefully can learn a thing or two from him with his knowledge and experience”.
Brett Smith (Assistant Team Manager)
We are also over the moon to announce our Scottish MX1 athlete for the 2026 season Ben Edwards. Ben showed some lightning speed at the start of 2025 with a holeshot and sixth place finish at Hawkstone Park but unfortunately ended his season early with an injury. We believe he will come back in 2026 and have consistent top ten finishes in the MX1 British Championship series and be a top runner for the Scottish Motocross Championship. The Scotsman is fired up and ready to go whilst we are ready to battle.
