WSX conducted an interesting interview with Eli Tomac as he gets ready to battle Ken Roczen for the WSX title at round one in Vancouver this weekend.
Eli said: “My only expectation when I go race is to win. That’s my goal.”
And Eli feels his achilles injury has actually kept him in the sport longer. “With my achilles there was a lot of things that went through my mind. That was a very serous injury in 2023. It was a long recovery and a horrible ending to that supercross series. To be in the lead like that and have it end like that, a lot of people think that 30 year old range is getting pretty old, I’m trying to prove that wrong and stay battling for race wins and championships as long as I can. Now, I think it may have extended my career, because when you get injured like that and off the bike for six months, you realise how much you love what you do.”
