Don’t expect Haiden Deegan to dial back the talk or the mind games when he goes 450 this summer!
During press day at Anaheim we asked America’s latest dirt bike superstar if we can still expect the talk and the mind games when he goes 450 in May for outdoors and he was adamant he won’t change because he enjoys it!
Deegan said: “No, no, no-one scares me. I don’t have any fear, especially on the track. I’m ready for all the talk. I’m ready to, (if) fools want to ride dirty, you always know I’m coming back full swing. So yeah, I like the mind games, it keeps me motivated, it keeps me hungry, it keeps, the people talking, it keeps the views coming. It keeps me motivated each weekend, you know? Some little talk and it keeps it rowdy.”
As far as his riding style on the 450 and if he learns from anyone or trusts his own way of riding, Deegan said: “I know what I need to do and I what I need to work on and you kind of got to adapt to what’s your style as well because it’s got me this far and I think well, you know, we’ll work on stuff, we’ll add stuff, we’ll take stuff away and just try and get better.”
And is he looking forward to 450 outdoors starting in May? You bet he is! “Yeah, I’m excited. I’m ready to get it going. It’s gonna be a big step and I have full confidence that I can go out there and get to the point where I’m winning, so we just got to work hard.“
