A very honest Haiden Deegan admitted to Lewis Phillips that he is more comfortable outdoors than he is in supercross at this stage of his career, and that he is even learning from Cole Davies and Ben Townley!

Deegan said: “I feel really good on outdoors right now. I feel like I’m back at home when I got on an outdoor track, so I was super excited to get back on outdoors, crank out some 35s. Yeah, feeling comfortable outdoors, did a lot of testing, got my outdoor bike dialled in. It feels really good.

I’ve got some stuff I got to work on at Supercross, even though I’m like, kind of the pick to win the championship. I’m not there yet.

You know, I got stuff I got to learn and that’s happened in multiple professional careers. It’s just sometimes you got some stuff you got to figure out and I need to get a little better on a Supercross track, but outdoors is where I’m at home

On learning from Davies, Deegan revealed: “Outdoors, he’s a little off, but Supercross, I can learn from him in the whoops and stuff. I mean, the kids got good technique. He trained with Ben Townley.

“I’ve done some work with BT as well. So I got, you know, some stuff I can work on and look at. And yeah, I mean, you can learn, you can learn from everybody out here, everyone’s got some up their sleeve that you can learn from.”
