As usual Haiden Deegan became the headline at a supercross – and that’s just the way he wants it!
Deegan has spoken about why he leaned into his arrest at the Seattle supercross on VitalMX with Darkside explaining that what he was arrested for wasn’t that bad (drifting a car) otherwise he wouldn’t have had the Thor gear set-up, social posts and the merchandise.
“I feel like that brought in some eyes, Haiden Deegan getting arrested! Maybe it’s not exactly the way you want to do it! The reason I went with it, and made some posts and some gear. It wasn’t a really bad charge. I was driving my car, it wasn’t a stupid thing I did although it was kinda stupid! It was in a car, it wasn’t something you wouldn’t want to be doing.
“I feel like every kid my age or even older has drifted their truck or car. This is a normal thing, that’s the only reason I went with it, if it was something a whole lot gnarlier you don’t do what I did and post it. Since it was just me with my car I felt you could use it to get some publicity.”
