While his 450 outdoor rivals are in the thick of a 17 round Supercross series and Jett Lawrence isn’t back on the bike yet, Haiden Deegan is taking advantage of a month off in the 250 West schedule to get comfortable on the 450 outdoors and he is looking very fast already!
Deegan said in his latest vlog: “I’m excited for outdoors because it’s going to be a new challenge, every year I’m expected to win but this is actually a challenge.
“It feels good to get back on some outdoors. It’s been a while. I’ve been on Supercross, SMX, just the same stuff over and over. To get on an outdoors track and let a 450 eat is something wild. Like, those rollers in the back, you just hit it in fourth gear, and, dude, you’re going so fast.
“And that’s the thing. That’s why I’m so excited to get on outdoors early, is because to get up to speed on outdoors takes a little longer than Supercoss, because you’re going so fast. Like, your brain has to adapt to going that fast, since you’ve been going so slow for so long on a Supercross track.
“Two solid days riding outdoors. It’s been good – it’s s tiring! It’s been fun. So far we got four big motos in two days. And yeah, just keep on riding because I want to do good outdoors.”
