There were rumours that Haiden Deegan would race the 250 East coast to claim the only title he hasn’t got in the 250 class, in a move that would also allow him to get his feet wet in the early West coast rounds on the 450cc.
But that is not happening as Deegan has posted himself with the big number 1 plate showing he will try and defend his West coast 250cc title and a message saying: “draft day West Coast.”
And the key reason seems to be Deegan wants to maximise his prep time on the 450cc for outdoors in May to take on Jett Lawrence, Chase Sexton, Eli Tomac, Hunter Lawrence and Jorge Prado in the great outdoors. Deegan wants to come out swinging!
The West coast series usually gets a break mid supercross and that is when Deegan will put the hammer down for the outdoors that will see Deegan go to the 450cc full-time for the rest of his career.
Max Anstie, currently dominating the WSX, looks likely to join Deegan on West and Levi Kitchen, who took Deegan out in SMX, could also be in the mix to take on Deegan at A1.
