Haiden Deegan says he is in Argentina to learn from his rivals as he gets set to make his 450 Supercross debut on Saturday night in Argentina against Ken Roczen, Jason Anders, Justin Cooper and Joey Savatgy.
On how he is finding the 450 Deegan said in the pre-race press conference: “I’m excited , I felt at home right when I got on the 450 and that’s a positive thing. I am going use these to go out and learn, that’s my big thing. Obviously I am a guy that wants to be up front… go learn from these guys that have been doing it for a while.“
Meanwhile Roczen said he is feeling good physically and will give everything to win: “My body actually feels really good. I came back from an ankle injury but by now I was able to have a bunch of weeks of consecutive training and I feel physically really good. I am going to give my 100%, my best and hopefully leave on the top step of the podium. But, we have a very, very strong competition this so the races can go whichever way , and the fun thing about the first race, nobody really knows where they stack up, so tomorrow for racing I am really excited and I am going to give everything.”
A humble Deegan v a motivated Roczen duelling for the win in Argentina? It wouldn’t be a bad way to kick off the series!
