With the EMX125 series now wrapped up, a new chapter is on the horizon for young Dutch talent, Dean Gregoire, as he gears up for his rookie EMX250 campaign in 2026. As part of his preparations, Gregoire made his 250cc debut at the iconic Keiheuvel Balen International in Belgium, tackling the deep sand against a stacked field.

Gregoire impressed on his first outing aboard the 250cc KTM, finishing fourth overall with only three MX2 GP riders ahead of him – an encouraging first test on the MX2 machine.

“We started the day with a fourth in timed practice. The first race I started in eighth before getting back to fifth but then had a crash which put me back down to nineteenth spot. I was able to get back up to fifth. In the second race started in second and on the first lap I let Adamo passed. On the second lap, Längenfelder got past me but I finished fourth which was really strong”, Gregoire told GateDrop.com.

“The Superfinal was really heavy. I was in tenth but then crashed at the waves.  After that it was tough, we had qualifying, two races and then the superfinal all within five hours so it was hard to be ready for the superfinal. Nevertheless, it was a strong 250cc debut”, concluded Gregoire.

Gregoire’s season isn’t over just yet, as he will also contest his home GP at Arnhem, marking his official debut in the EMX250 championship as he builds towards a full campaign next season.
