The MXoN is taking place this weekend but it won’t be the final race of the year for the new MX2 world champion, Kay de Wolf. The Dutch talent will contest the final round of the Dutch Nationals which is taking place at the iconic Valkenswaard circuit.

It’s great news for the Dutch fans and Herlings will also race! De Wolf will also race the MX1 class on the 450cc.

The following press release confirms the news:

The Netherlands has a new world champion. What a strong season Kay de Wolf has had this year in the MX2 world championship. Last Sunday, de Wolf secured the title in Cozar, Spain. Spain was far away for most Dutch fans, but on Sunday 13 October, De Wolf will race closer to his home. De Wolf will participate in the Dutch MX Season Final in Valkenswaard.

The arrival of the Wolf will ensure that we get a great end to the Dutch motocross season because he will start in the 450 class. In this class he will compete against five-time world champion Jeffrey Herlings.

Last year there were already fireworks between the two riders on the beach of Lemmer and Vlissingen and this titanic battle will continue in Valkenswaard. Both riders are in top shape, so it will be great for the fans.

Herlings and de Wolf are not only in Valkenswaard to race but for them this is also a chance to have a nice day with the Dutch fans. Normally there is less time for this, but at this race there will be several autograph sessions and meet and greets so that the fans can take pictures with their stars and pick up posters.
