For the 2026 season, the ADAC MX Masters is introducing a rule change in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, underlining its focus on youth development. The early announcement is intended to provide teams, riders, and sponsors with planning security well in advance.

The previous age limit in this class will be raised by two years: from now on, riders up to and including 23 years of age will be eligible to compete and score points. Within this new age limit, a rider is still only required to move up to the ADAC MX Masters class in the following year after winning a second ADAC MX Youngster Cup title.

Thanks to this adjustment, young talents who want to race in the MX2 World Championship up to the age of 23 will not have to switch to the 450cc class prematurely. They can continue to compete in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup on the familiar 250cc machines and develop physically and technically at an appropriate pace.
