Christian Craig has been in brilliant form in WSX on the Honda and came into the South African World Supercross finale just a point down on Anderson and Savatgy but two crashes in the first two motos left Craig pretty devasted at losing his shot at the title before the final moto had even started.
Craig, who kept pace with Anderson and Savatgy in moto three to take third after leading briefly early, said: “The whole season has been awesome. It has been so fun travelling the world and this has been my favourite stop yet, South Africa.
“Unfortunately, I crashed one too many times. I sacrificed my life, my family, my three kids are back home and I let them down unfortunately. This one hurts because I fell on my own and one too many mistakes. Keep my head up and keep going, excited to come back next year and try to go for the championship again.“
