Yarrive Konsky confirms Quad Lock Honda interest in Chase Sexton

Chase Sexton’s future continues to be one of the biggest talking points heading into the 2027 sesaon with the American yet to announce his plans for the upcoming season. Quad Lock Honda are among the teams interested in securing his services, with team owner Yarrive Konsky confirming that discussions have taken place.

Speaking at the AUSX Open press conference in Geelong, Konsky was asked about the team’s interest in Sexton, making it clear that while they would love to work with the former AMA Supercross and Motocross Champion, there are several factors to consider.

Konsky confirms Quad Lock Honda interest in Sexton

“It’s definitely a conversation, but so are other teams, so it’s not speculation. Chase is figuring out where he’ll race in the future. We’d love the opportunity to work with him – a rider of his caliber, over 100 podiums, 38-plus wins, two championships, two runner-ups, and a third place in the last five years. He’s one of the elite, so we’d love to have an opportunity to work with him, but he’s yet to announce his decision, and hopefully that comes soon. We’re all waiting in anticipation as to where he lands”, Konsky stated.

“It’s an expensive opportunity, so it’s something that we’re working towards, and we’re certainly talking to all of our partners. I know Quad Lock would love the opportunity to work with him. Again, he’s one of the elites, so there’s a lot to go through to make a decision of that magnitude”, added Konsky.

Honda future for Sexton?

Sexton has been hinting at a potential Honda future on social media in recent weeks, which has naturally fuelled speculation about a possible move back to the Japanese manufacturer. However, Quad Lock Honda are not thought to be his only option, with other teams also believed to be in the mix for his signature including a return to Factory KTM.

With Sexton’s calibre, experience and proven ability to fight for championships, it is no surprise that several teams are interested in bringing him on board after he parted ways with Kawasaki. The financial implications of a deal are also significant, as Konsky openly acknowledged, meaning the team will need to work closely with its partners to make such a move possible.

Sexton’s future still undecided

For now, it seems that Sexton is still weighing up his options as the 2027 season approaches. Quad Lock Honda have made their interest clear, but with other opportunities reportedly available, the American has a big decision to make.

As Konsky explained, everyone is waiting in anticipation to see where Sexton lands, but Quad Lock Honda will be hoping to win the race for his signature.
