Malcolm Stewart on adapting to the new Kawasaki

Swapmoto did a very good interview with a very relaxed Malcolm Stewart with Kawasaki’s new signing admitting it hasn’t taken him long to adapt to the bike or the aluminum frame despite being on a steel framed Husqvarna for the last five years!

Stewart told Donn Maeda: “Being around the Austrian frame for five years, I was like, it might be a little different. But to be quite honest, it kind of felt like when I first got on the bike, I was actually a little bit more similar than I thought, like, just the way the characteristics of the cockpit and everything like that. And it made me feel right off the rip, I was actually really comfortable.

“And, you know, from there, we just really just tweaked little small things, like, I didn’t even change the handlebars. Most times, people started changing all kinds of stuff. I didn’t change any of that.

Let’s just ride the motorcycle, have fun, be around the atmosphere, and let’s just take everything slow. And so far, like, I’ve been out here a couple of weeks now, and it’s been going pretty good, like, really a lot better, and things are moving faster than I thought.”
