Race one: Conrad Mewse passed early leader, a still very fast Evgeny Bobryshev, and from there Mewse pulled away to clinch the British MX1 title on style with a win as Ben Watson took second and Bobryshev an impressive third after only 20 minutes on the bike yesterday!
Conrad said: “Big relief! That has been, mentally, a tough year and I am just glad I am stood here now with a championship at the end of it. Everything we done has been worth it, we started the year off the pace, seriously off the pace, Ben destroyed me at Hawkstone by 45 seconds and after that, we knew we would be in that position. We had a long time off, we got our head down and continued to work harder and harder and we slowly started getting the wins. Fantastic year, I can’t thank the team enough.”
