Cooper Webb, if the rumours are to believed, is expected to be on a Tedder KTM and teammates with Justin Hill by round two of the World Supercross Championship in October in the UK, but as of now nothing has been confirmed.
Webb meanwhile rode his last Supercross on the Star Yamaha in Canada and fittingly walked away with the overall going 2-1 even if the last moto, that he was winning, ultimately abandoned due to the storm.
Afterwards, Webb spoke to Vital MX about his day, his last outdoor campaign and his future plans that include moving back to Carolina and riding at the old JGR facility with help from Justin Brayton:
Cooper said: “It looks like in the future I’ll be moving back to North Carolina, which I’m stoked on. It’s where I’m from. And, you know, I’ve always wanted to do it from there. And this is a great opportunity to do so.
“So, yeah, we’re we’re assembling the crew and we’re going to be at the old JGR stomping grounds, and that’s going to be super fun. It’s super nostalgic there. And, yeah, it’ll be cool. I’ll have a few options of places I can go. And, yeah, I’m looking forward to it. It’ll be like you said, I’m moving on to that supercross only part of my my career and be able to focus on that a lot. And, yeah, I’ll be working with with Justin Brayton, so I’m looking forward to that. And, yeah, super exciting stuff coming for sure.”
