Official: Charlie Richmond signs with Crendon Tru7 Honda Racing for 2026

Despite previously indicating that their rider line-up would remain unchanged for the 2026 season, Crendon Tru7 Honda Racing have now confirmed they will field an additional rider under their awning.

Young prospect Charlie Richmond heads into a new chapter after a strong 2025 campaign. The Brit now says goodbye to his time racing in the 125cc category, where he delivered a number of encouraging performances in the EMX125 championship. For 2026, Richmond will make the step up to the MX2 class in the British Championship.

The move sees Richmond join one of the most established teams in the British paddock, giving him the backing of an experienced structure as he adapts to the bigger bike and the demands of MX2 competition.

Under the Crendon Tru7 Honda Racing awning, Richmond will line up alongside British title contender Conrad Mewse and Jamie Carpenter, strengthening the team’s presence in the class for the upcoming season.

In addition, Jake Nicholls is also expected to represent the team at selected events during the year.

With Richmond stepping up from 125cc machinery and joining a proven team environment, the 2026 season will mark an important stage in his development as he looks to establish himself in the MX2 ranks.

The team confirmed the news on social media:

“The Crendon Tru7 Honda squad is locked, loaded and ready for 2026 after final pre-season testing on the Honda CRF450R and CRF250R. Leading the charge in MX1 is British champ Conrad Mewse, alongside a fired-up Jamie Carpenter, back in action after injury and hungry to make his mark”

In MX2, the future’s bright as 17-year-old Charlie Richmond steps up from the youth ranks to take on the British Championship in red for the first time. And it doesn’t stop there… Team sponsor and Tru7 boss Jake Nicholls will line up in selected MX1 rounds too — experience, speed and serious race craft in the mix. Fresh bikes. Fresh energy. Same winning ambition”.
