Having already announced Sandro Sools and Alessandro Gaspari for the 2026 season, the Young Motion powered by Resa have now completed their rider line up. The team have confirmed an agreement to extend the contract of Martin Michelis who joined them ahead of the 2025 season.
The deal will see Michelis contest selected MX2 World Championship events once again in 2026.
The following press release confirms the news:
The Dutch MX2 GP team Young Motion powered by Resa has extended their contract with Martin Michelis. The Estonian rider will remain part of the team for the 2026 season.
Michelis made his debut in the MX2 World Championship class in 2025 but was hampered that season by multiple injuries, which limited him to starting only a small number of races.
Technical manager Rene Satink:
“Martin faced a lot of setbacks last year but is currently training hard to be 100% fit for the start of the season. Our confidence in his talent has never changed, which is why we have decided to continue together in 2026.”
In the upcoming season, Michelis will focus on participating in various Grand Prix events and the ADAC Championship.
With the signing of Michelis, the GP team has completed its 2026 line-up. Michelis, Sandro Sools and Alessandro Gaspari will compete in ten Grand Prix events.
