German-based team, Sarholz KTM have confirmed their EMX250 rider line-up for the 2026 season, announcing that both Lyonel Reichl and Leon Rudolph will remain with the team for the upcoming campaign.
Reichl joined Sarholz KTM through the 2025 season after an impressive start to the year, quickly proving his potential in the highly competitive EMX250 class. The move paid off for both parties, and it has now been officially confirmed that the young German will continue with the team into 2026 as he looks to build on the momentum that he showed last season.
Alongside Reichl, Sarholz KTM have also retained Leon Rudolph, who is preparing for his first full season contesting the EMX250 championship. While Rudolph has already gained valuable experience by racing selected rounds in previous seasons, 2026 will mark an important step forward as he takes on the full European series for the first time.
The team also announced the signing of Trey Cox for the 2026 season and he is expected to contest selected EMX250 rounds.
Sarholz KTM will be aiming to make further progress in EMX250 next season as Reichl and Rudolph look to establish themselves as regular front-runners in the class.
Lyonel Reichl:
So I came to Sarholz during the middle of the season. This was quite unexpected, you know, but things clicked very quickly and from me and the teams side, it was very obvious that we wanted to continue together. With KTM Sarholz racing team, I have obviously a really, really good team behind me which is competitive in the EMX250 class and we have a really good bike. That’s already two things which are very important and now I’m with the KTM and not with the Husqvarna anymore. We have already tested a lot with suspension and we will be testing with the KTM Sarholz engine.
We have already had a training camp in Spain for two weeks which went really, really good. We were all working hard and we will try to be as good as we can next season. The goal is obviously to be always up at the front with the front guys and to have a solid season. We want to go consistent at every round to be at our best, we will work hard for the rest of off-season to be as good as we can for the season.
We will be riding the EMX250 series as well as the ADAC again. We just train at the moment. Now I can tell you I’m heading back home for Christmas for a little break and then on January 6th, I come back to my trainer, Christoph. We’re going to train there then for about one or two months and maybe we go for another camp. I think I will race the Lierop International in March and then the EMX season will get underway.
Leon Rudolph:
I am very grateful for the trust shown by André Sarholz and I am happy to continue being part of the team for a second year. The cooperation is professional and harmonious, and the equipment suits me well – for me it was immediately clear that I wanted to continue.
To keep developing I moved in with my trainer and have structured my preparation even more. The winter preparation is in full swing. In 2026, I will compete in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup as well as the full EMX250 championship. Goals: consistently top five in the Youngster Cup, consistently top ten in EMX250.
