Despite effectively losing a world title due to hitting controversial track markers, Tim Gajser still came away with the Slovenian Motorsports athlete of year after riding at maybe his best level ever in 2025 before the crash.
Tim still came back late in the season put his Honda back up front and ked Slovenia to a stunning fifth overall at the MXoN in the USA.
Gajser said: “Even though this season was very tough, we still managed to achieve so much. Motorsport Athlete of the Year for the 11th year in a row Forbes Slovenia 30 Under 30 5th place at the Motocross of Nations — a historic result for Slovenia 🇸🇮 Thank you to everyone who supports me in good times and bad. Even though I’ve already achieved a lot in my life, I know the best years are still ahead. ✊”
Now Tim will have the biggest change in his career as he says goodbye to Honda and hello to Yamaha as he seeks his sixth world title.
