The opening round of the Supercross World Championship in Buenos Aires faced some difficulties due to technical issues on the Recast platform, the WSX promoter’s partner. If you had subscribed to follow the event on Saturday, it is likely that you were unable to watch the opening round live. Frustrating, yes. Fortunately, in response to the situation, the first round was made available for free on a third-party service, and the replay remains accessible [here].
Following this incident, Recast and WSX issued a statement to explain the situation and provide compensation.
If you had a subscription – either for the single event or for the full season – your Recast account has been credited with 357 credits.
Case 1: You subscribed only for the Buenos Aires event. This credit can be used to watch another event this year.
Case 2: You subscribed for the full season. The same credit is on your account, but it may be less useful if you only follow WSX on Recast.
In both cases, you can request a $5 refund, corresponding to the amount paid for the Buenos Aires event. To do so, simply send a request to helpme@recast.tv. The refund will be processed directly to the payment method you used on Recast.
If you have a Recast account, the credit has already been applied under the title: “Manual Credit: Compensation for Buenos Aires GP Issues.” The platform may not be the most intuitive (we admit it), but you can access your account via this [link] and log in on any site offering the Recast player using your credentials.”
You can read the press release below:
We sincerely apologise for the technical issues that affected Saturday’s live stream of the FIM World Supercross Championship Buenos Aires City GP Main Event.
The outage occurred for a short period at the start of the race due to a technical issue with our partner, Recast. Recast has identified this, and steps have been taken to ensure it does not happen again during future races.
Recast will issue customers with credits to your Recast Wallet to reimburse you for the weekend’s live event. However, if you would like to receive a refund for yesterday’s Main Event, then please contact helpme@recast.tv.
We are committed to bringing you the very best supercross in the remaining four rounds of the 2025 season, including the Canadian GP on 15th November featuring Eli Tomac’s debut on a KTM, Haiden Deegan’s second outing in SX1 at the Australian GP, a return to Europe in the Swedish GP, and the season finale in Cape Town, South Africa on 13th December.
We appreciate your patience and understanding, and hope you enjoy the remaining four rounds.
