Cole Davies injured – surgery

Cole Davies had a huge crash in Las Vegas during qualifying and has since undergone surgery repair an MCL, but it was the crash in Charlotte that did the damage to his thumb not his spectacular Vegas get off!

Star Yamaha said: Rider Update: Cole Davies undergoes successful surgery to repair UCL tear. “I’ve been dealing with a torn UCL ligament in my thumb since Charlotte, and it’s definitely made riding tough these past few weeks. We tried to push through, but ultimately surgery had to be done. The procedure went really well and recovery is now on track. It’s been a bit of tough luck lately, but I won’t stop fighting. My eyes are already on Melbourne for AUSX and the 2026 season.”

Davies added on IG: “Vegas was a rough one, been dealing with a torn ucl ligament in my thumb which i injured during moto 1 of charlotte. And after a big crash in qualifying everything was pretty sore. Tried to race moto 1 but had a collision with another rider and called it a night from there. Got surgery this morning to get my thumb fixed up. Fair bit of tough luck lately but I won’t stop fighting, eyes set on @ausxopensupercross and next season now 😈”
