Max Anstie gives injury update

A very positive Max Anstie looks back on a supercross season that could have been until his broken leg in Birmingham but he did admit that the crash during press day in Daytona was the reason behind his relatively subdued performances in Daytona and Indy prior to Birmingham.

Max said: “It’s just a broken fibula, the little bone in your leg, it doesn’t need surgery. It’s the name of the game, it’s what we do and it happens. Had a good run going there for the first few rounds then I took the wind a little bit out of my sails in Daytona when I crashed on press day, I salvaged what I could for there and Indy and felt like I was back on track in Birmingham.

“I was so close to making the quad, I did it the lap before but was trying to set up the turn at the end and just hit a little softer spot on the face there and that was all she wrote. I actually thought I was going to get away with it when I was in the air after I cased it.”
