Chase Sexton replied to a video Stefan Everts posted of maybe the only MXoN to beat MXoN 2024, the 2006 version at Matterley Basin, as Everts used his perfect stand-up technique to beat James Stewart in his final race.
A respectful Sexton said: “This video has been my benchmark for technique for the last year or so. Unreal.”
The irony of course is that Chase used to have James Stewart as a coach and Jett and Hunter Lawrence rode for Stefan at Suzuki! But as Stefan told me this year in Spain, the technique he used (to win ten titles and 101 GP wins) will always work.
Jorge Prado and Jett Lawrence the current supercross and MXGP champs are proof that statement is correct.
