Whilst preparing for this years German GP, JM Honda rider, Håkon Østerhagen had a practice crash and picked up a neck injury.
The Norwegian talent has now revealed that he will be out for the rest of the season which is a real shame. He will now turn his attentions to the 2025 season and hope to secure a ride to contest the MX2 World Championship again next year.
It’ll also be interesting how the JM Honda team will react as they’re now left without an MX2 GP rider as Delvintor Alfarizi had his last Grand Prix of the year at Lommel as he now heads back to Indonesia.
The team still do have Max Werner who is racing the EMX250 championship and Brent van Doninck racing the MXGP World Championship as he returned to action at Loket.
“Hey everyone, I have been very quiet lately. As a motocross rider you have a lot of up and downs and yet again I have been in a crash that will make me miss the rest of the season. It’s been really tough and hard mentally but I am not done. I am not a quitter and I never will be. I will get back up and you will see me on the track again. Thank you everyone who supports”, Osterhagen revealed on social media.
