Race One: Hunter Lawrence took the opening moto win at Millville after Jett Lawrence went down on the first lap and had to put another charge through the field, but the only one he couldn’t catch was his brother with even Chase Sexton and Eli Tomac having nothing for Jett but big brother wasn’t letting little brother win this one!
Aaron Plessigner was forced to puill out again as his illness took it’s toll despite a great start and some good speed at the start of the moto as Prado started fourth but dropped back to 11th behind Valentin Guillod, looking uncomfortable on the Kawasaki.
Antonio Cairoli got involved in a first lap crash and got stuck under his bike. A heroic Marshall Weltin stopped and even turned around on the track to help the 9 time world champion get out from under his Ducati. Cairoli didn’t quit and came from dead, dead last up to the 23rd to help his gate pick for race two not be as bad as it could have been.

Race Two: Jett Lawrence and Hunter Lawrence separated themselves from the rest of the field again but Jett finally eased away from a very fast Hunter to ensure he took another overall win with Hunter second and Chase Sexton a distant third. Jorge Prado was slightly better taking fifth just in front of a charging Guillod who worked his way into sixth with 39 year old Cairoli on a stock Ducacti tailing Tomac all moto as the two legends took ninth and tenth.
Jett said: “Honestly, Hunter was riding really well, he wouldn’t let it go, My bike was softer down the hills, I had to be more patient. We needed to keep the win streak overall, sadly, he made me dig for that one, he was riding really good. He had no quit, I think he had a good flow and comfortable with the bike, it’s a good challenge, and makes me push, makes me better.”
