Moto one: The Lawrence brothers dominated the opening moto with the Aussie duo battling at the front early as Jett had to come from fourth to pass Hunter for the lead. It was disaster for Eli Tomac after his bike went up in smoke just after he worked his way into third, severely hurting his title hopes.

Chase Sexton worked his way into fifth starting tenth as Antonio Cairoli took ninth on a stock Ducati chasing Justin Barcia all the way to the line, the rider expected to be on Ducati next year in the US. Jorge Prado wasn’t far in front of Cairoli by the end of the moto in seventh.
Moto 2: Jorge Prado got into the lead on lap one of race two for his first look at the front in the USA as Antonio Cairoli got away fourth on the Ducati! Meanwhile, Jett Lawrence had a rare bad start and was battling Hunter at the back end of the top ten when he went down and remounted back in 18th place!

Cairoli race ended after five minutes just as he was looking to pass Coty Shock for third and battling to hold off Hunter Lawrence, the Ducati suffered a mechanical issue ending what looked to be another top ten overall for the legend, just like in MXGP.
Prado looked more like himself for the first 15 minutes, out front, as he and Justin Cooper even stretched the gap from 7 ot 8 seconds over Hunter Lawrence in third, but, once Justin found his way by Prado at the halfway mark it all changed as Prado got passed by Jett a couple of laps later, then a charging Sexton and Hunter, all in the same lap, to fall off the lead pace and finish a distant fifth. It was a moto of two very different halves for Prado..but at least he saw the lead and had the pace early.
But Jett put on a clinic, passing everyone to take the win, finding his way past Cooper in a classy move for the lead. Sexton got himself into second, four second off Jett when he lost the front and went down, ending his hopes, finishing fourth.

A classy Jett said: “That was race, I rode my heart out for ZIngg family. My heart goes out to them, I pray for the family. That was for them. I didn’t get an ideal start and made a silly mistake, made it hard for myself. I put my heart into that one, that was for the Zingg family.”
