Youth riders buzzing for World championship!

EL MOLAR (Spain), 17 July 2015 – Things are really starting to heat up here in El Molar, Spain, where the world’s fastest young riders will go head to head for the 2015 FIM Junior 85cc and 125cc Motocross World Championship and 65cc European Open titles. Earlier this evening the opening ceremony took place on the fabulous podium here in sunny Spain. The atmosphere was absolutely buzzing as MXGP-TV presenter Lisa Leyland did the honors of presenting this great event to the riders and their crews.

Of the officials and organizers who spoke FIM/CMS Director, Mr. Tony Skillington, was the first to welcome everyone here to El Molar. Youthstream representative Miss Patricia Maskarova followed sharing her glee and thanks to the organizers and all of the nations in attendance. President of the Motorclub El Molar, Mr Jose Luis Alvarez, said “it has been a dream for us to host the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship here in El Molar, we have been working towards it for the last three or four years so we are thankful to Youthstream, the FIM and everyone here.” As a gesture of thanks, Youthstream presented Mr Jose Luis Alvarez with a gold plate for his efforts in organizing this event.

This year the FIM Ride Green foundation is running a competition, the Ride Green Cup. “A lot of tracks have been closed down because of the noise, it is in your hands to keep the noise down and the tracks open.” FIM Environmental Commission Miss Kattia Hernandez said, “use your social media networks Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and post with the hashtag #ridegreencup to play your part in our ride green campaign.”

One of the coolest things about winning a FIM Junior Motocross World title or the European Open 65cc title is that the winner will also receive a Scott Voltage mountain bike courtesy of our sponsor Scott Sports. Scott Sports representative Diego Clement presented the bikes that the three fastest juniors will be taking home and also invited everyone to a bike race that will take place here at the circuit in El Molar tomorrow at 5pm behind the media center.
