What’s next for Larrañaga and Van Doninck?

What’s next for Larrañaga and Van Doninck?

Just like we reported last week, the 8Biano Racing team have now closed their doors due to budget issues. The team had their last race at round eight of the MX2 World Championship at Germany which took place at the weekend.

So, where does that leave the two riders, Iker Larrañaga and Brent Van Doninck for the rest of the season? Well, there’s always plenty of speculation around the Grand Prix paddock.

In Germany we heard rumours that Larrañaga has spoken with the DIGA-Procross Husqvarna team. Of course that team concentrates on the EMX250 Championship but it’s thought they’re ready to make the next step to the MX2 World Championship and that Larrañaga will be under their awning for the rest of the season.

As for Van Doninck, the Belgian has had his injury problems which is a shame. It’s rumoured that the VHR KTM team are interested in his services for the rest of the season where he’d join up with David Herbreteau under the awning.

We will bring you more news as we hear it but there’s a decent chance both riders will secure rides before round nine and therefore be present at Matterley Basin.

UPDATE: Brent Van Doninck will race the ADAC MX Masters Championship for the DIGA-Procross Husqvarna team this weekend, more here.
