Webster injured – MXGP debut delayed

It was recently announced that top Aussie rider, Kyle Webster had been drafted into the JM Honda Racing team and would make his MXGP debut this weekend at Mantova.

However, whilst racing the ADAC MX Masters Championship, the Aussie crashed at the first corner and was knocked out. The full extent of the injury is a fracture in his shoulder which means he’ll miss the Mantova triple header as well as Spain.

The Aussie is hoping to make a return for the triple header at Lommel – not exactly an easy place to make your MXGP debut. Jacky Martens isn’t having much luck when it comes to injured riders in his first year running an MXGP team!

“Unfortunately I won’t be lining up this weekend in Italy. I went down in the first turn last weekend at a German masters race. I was badly knocked out and thankfully only have a small fracture in my shoulder! At the moment, I am hoping Lommel will be my first race in 3 weeks time. I want to say a massive thank you to @jmhondaracing and everyone else who supports me”, Webster stated on social media.
