During the past four months the young motocross talents lived at the High Performance Papendal, near Arnhem in The Netherlands. This gave them the opportunity to go to school and have intensive workouts with the best guidance possible. Apart from these trainings at Papendal, the Rookies went out for a ride on different kinds of tracks with head coach Marcel Hartman and his technical staff.
After three months the MXGP Rookies went to Spain to prepare for the start of the season. Over a thousand motocross enthusiasts saw the result of hard work during the first two rounds of the Dutch Open Motocross in Heerde and Mill. The boys were strong and the first wins were there. Most of the riders will probably qualify for the Dutch Masters of Motocross, one of the strongest championships in the world.
The pilot has come to an end and we’re very happy with the improvements the first MXGP Rookies have shown. For us it’s time to evaluate the pilot and see what the future has in store for us.
