Video: Hampshire takes out Sexton
RJ Hampshire took out former teammate Chase Sexton to win the first moto of the triple crown in the 250 East at Arlington with a very hard move!
Hampshire, with Sexton sitting one person up from him and a smiling McElrath in between, commented: “Chase was fast in the whoops, clearly. I wanted to get that first win and I think I had a little bit of an ‘owe you’ on him, so we are pretty even now.”
Sexton responded and acknowledged he had one coming, saying: “We came together in outdoors at Millville and I knew he wasn’t happy about it and that corner out of the finish line, really left the door open to hit the next section but if you don’t cover the inside you’re going to have what happened to me. Obviously I wasn’t happy about it, I came through the pack pretty well and made a clean pass but then again, it’s racing. I came back and got second and put myself where I needed to be.”
