Video: Gajser gets ready for SMX and MEC!
MXGP world champion Tim Gajser has a big week coming up as he competes against supercross world champion Ryan Dungey and MX2 world champ Jeffrey Herlings at the SMX this Saturday night – the only event that will have all three world champions in one event this year and the first time we get to see Herlings v Gajser on the 450s.
Gajser will then go straight to Vegas to compete against Dungey, Tomac, Roczen and the rest of the top AMA supercross riders at the Monster Energy Cup, where he will no doubt want to impress as he harbours aspirations of going to the USA full-time to race supercross in the future.
Gajser, who missed the MXON due to a big crash in the run-up to the event, got the all clear from his doctors last week and is putting in practice to get himself as best prepared as he can for the next two Saturday nights.
Gajser will be on the 2017 Honda at the events and said: “I’m really looking forward to being back to racing this Saturday at SMX, especially because I’ll be on the new Honda CRF. I think SMX will be nice – it’s something new for us in Europe. We never did events like that over here so I’m really excited about it and looking forward to racing alongside all the big names from MXGP and Supercross.”
