Video: Faenza MXGP 2012 – Cairoli, Pourcel, Herlings
The last time Faenza held a Grand Prix was back in 2012 and they were some heavy hitters competing! Tony Cairoli won both motos and the world championship despite pressure from Christophe Pourcel who’s smooth style worked well on the 450 around the hard pack circuit.
In MX2 Jeffrey Herlings won both motos and the MX2 world title ahead of the Tommy Searle and Jeremy Van Horebeek. But it was a strong field that included current 450 AMA National points leader, Zach Osborne, who took fourth in moto one plus future world champs, Romain Febvre, Jordi Tixier and a very young Tim Gajser in his initial foray in MX2 racing.
