Vandoninck out for 6-8 weeks!
Brent Vandoninck will be on the sidelines again for another couple of months after injurying his thumb. It means Latvian Karlis Sabulis will be drafted in from EMX2 to compete for Kemea Yamaha in MX2.
Kemea Yamaha statement: From next week on Latvian Karlis Sabulis will replace the injured Brent Vandoninck in the MX2 GP class. 19-year old Sabulis will stay in Belgium and train with Jacky Vimond and Benoit Paturel. He is currently 11th in the EMX250 championship with a 6th overall as highlight this year at Arco di Trento. Brent Vandoninck is expected to return at Lommel or Frauenfeld depending on his recovery. As a ligament of his thumb was heavily damaged, they replaced it last week with a ligament of his wrist. Expected recovery for the Belgian is expected 6-8 weeks. We wish Brent a speedy recovery and Karlis a lot of success!
