Van de Moosdijk wins in Italy – Jett Lawrence on the box!

After getting on the box for the first time in two years in France, things got even better for Roan van de Moosdijk as he won the overall finishing third in both the moto’s in Italy. The Dutch rider didn’t get the best of starts but he charged through the field in both moto’s and did enough to take his first overall win in the series.

You could tell afterwards that van de Moosdijk give it his all and it was difficult for him with the heat but he was pumped on his win.

The real story in the second moto was the amazing performance of Jett Lawrence, the 14 year old got a great start and passed Steven Clarke who’s twice his age to take the race victory and secure a third overall. He’s a name to remember for the future.

Dylan Walsh won the first moto and came home in seventh in moto two to end up second overall on his DIGA-Procross championship.

Championship leader, Mathys Boisrame came home a solid second in the first moto but crashed in the second moto colliding with Mel Pocock. The French rider came back to ninth and ended up fourth overall so extended his points lead in the championship.

Boisrame now has a nineteen points lead over Mel Pocock with Martin Barr a further thirteen points back. Starts hindered the Revo Husqvarna riders in Italy so they’ll want to improve on that heading into the last four rounds of the series.
