Vaessen to make 2016 MX2 debut in Loket!

Due to a break in the EMX250 championship and it not taking place this weekend it gives the opportunity for some of the top EMX250 riders to ride the MX2 World Championship.

Suzuki have decided to give Bas Vaessen a chance to race his first MX2 World Championship race of the season this weekend in Loket. Bas has been racing with GP regulars in the Dutch Masters championship and has shown some good speed against them in the sand.

Bas keeps working and improving in the hard pack conditions and no doubt this weekend will be his hardest challenge on the conditions yet racing in such a stacked class with the best riders in the world. He will join up with Jeremy Seewer and Brian Hsu in the factory Suzuki awning.

It will be interesting to see how he gets on during his first MX2 World Championship of the season. No doubt it is part of his preparations to step up to the class full time and that could be as soon as the 2017 season.
