Tim Edberg – Privateer in 2020

Tim Edberg has been with Yamaha for a number of years with MJC Racing, JK Racing and JWR Yamaha but the season ahead is all change for the young Swede. He will stay with his trusted Yamaha machinery but he’s going to be a privateer with the Riley Racing team.

The Swede will contest the EMX250 championship as well as the Swedish series.

“Big news! I’m happy to start working together with Yamaha privateer team @rileyracingyamaha for 2020 season. I feel really happy with the people I have around me, all my sponsors and the team. Things are starting to take place and I feel confident as the season is soon starting”, Edberg stated.

Edberg has a lovely style to watch and has had some great results on the 125cc but since making the move up to the 250cc, the results haven’t been quite as good but he’ll be hoping to impress in 2020.

With lots of riders who contested the EMX250 series last year moving up to the MX2 World Championship this year, it could give an opportunity for a rider like Edberg to surprise.
