Team USA at Red Bud MXoN – All or Nothing!

Team USA at Red Bud MXoN – All or Nothing!

Amazon Prime should be covering the 2022 MXoN at Red Bud as team USA attempt to break their hard to believe 11 year winless streak with no room to hide, and no excuses left. It’s all or nothing for team USA at the 2022 MXoN.

Of all years, this is the year they should win. Home country advantage, an in-form 2022 450 SX and MX champ, Eli Tomac, at his last outdoor race seeking Red Bud revenge from 2018 alongside Chase Sexton on a 450 who is in the form of his life, the rapid duo leading the charge for red, white and star-spangled blue glory.

Tomac has said he feels their speed has elevated the sport with Sexton thinking he and Eli can go 1-2 in the final moto – confidence is high and unfortunately for Jeffrey Herlings and Tim Gajser, the last two MXGP world champs, the very best in MXGP won’t be racing to try and prove that statement wrong. But those comments might just motivate the MXGP riders who are racing to show the Americans that they should be taken more seriously!

Along with the last two MXGP world champs not racing, the current MX2 world champ isn’t racing either! Arguably the three top “Euros” not there to show their pace and for France and Netherlands, two of America’s biggest Nation rivals, a loss to the strength of their teams, especially with Vialle’s starting prowess on a 250 for the French with the 250 class often key.

America meanwhile have their A team out, along with the sensationally fast Tomac and Sexton, is Justin Cooper, America’s top performer on a 250 and, aligned with the fact that he is known for his good starts, something that in MX2 is key to this race in the combined motos on Sunday, it puts team USA on a very firm platform to win. And with the aforementioned Vialle out, plus Jett Lawrence and Jago Geerts on 450s, the fastest three 250 riders in the world aren’t in his class. Once again, advantage America.

Most feel this is America’s time and it’s hard to bet against them. Even before the race everything is going their way. It’s now time to deliver. The other riders and countries have pride, speed and talent beyond what many in America are maybe expecting and they won’t back down easily. But America HAVE to win this event. It is all set up perfectly, it is prime time, all or nothing.
